Job Title: Software Engineer (Embedded/Application Development)
Location(s): Sacramento, CA
Contract Duration: 6 Months +
Compensation: Based on Experience

POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is for a software engineer to support the design, development, and/or maintenance of embedded and/or application software systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- College graduate with 9 + years of software development experience
- Proven experience with Object-Oriented design and development techniques
- Extensive background with implementing real-time software intensive systems
- In-depth experience/knowledge of C/C++ required
- Experience with Python and/or other UNIX scripting languages
- Experience with UNIX, preferably Linux, and/or VxWorks
- Experience using software CM tools
- Fluent and succinct communication and writing style
- Familiarity with formal software development methodologies and formal processes
- Strong analytical skills
- Highly organized and requires minimal supervision

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degree in CS/CE/EE/Math with 5+ year experience.
- Experience with MC/OS or other real-time operating systems is desired.
- Experience in computer networking protocols is desired.
- Experience with cryptographic equipment is a plus.
- Knowledge of SIGINT processing systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of Software Product Lines is a plus.
