This role will provide engineering and technical support, including analysis of programs for avionics design and integration. Responsibilities include the following:
...-- Assist in the development of specifications, requirements, design, and test procedures for upgraded systems.
...-- Evaluate technical data and develop technical procedures and processes for third party use.
...-- Hands-on system integration engineering supporting aircraft modifications and upgrades.
...-- Production support to troubleshoot problems upon installation.
...-- Assist proposal teams in the acquisition of new contracts.
...-- Develop discussion papers and present briefings.
...-- Develop modifications to existing aircraft.
Travel may be required.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will have ten (10) or more years of progressive design and integration experience. Specifically two (2) years of the following:
...-- Familiarity with aircraft avionics and electronic components.
...-- Working knowledge of FAA, RTCA, and ARINC requirements and standards.
...-- Development of technical procedures, test processes, and evaluation.
...-- Communication radios and interphone systems.
...-- Navigation.
...-- Electronic warfare, and/or electrical systems.
...-- Understanding of engineering drawings.
...-- Digital data busses and computer networks.
Education Requirements: Bachelor's of Engineering degree from an ABET accredited institution is desired. Preference may be given to candidates with an Electrical Engineering degree or significant design experience.
