Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
* Help with the lab configuration and support for Engineers.
* Install new servers in a datacenter and lab as needed.
* Configure and troubleshoot Linux OS issues.
* Assist in new server deployment, management and supportHelp with the lab configuration and support for Engineers.

Basic Qualifications:
A 4-year bachelor degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or other job related degree from an accredited college or university, plus 10 years of experience working in IT systems positions.
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
* Must possess strong oral and written communication skills with a proven track
record of working effectively across large organizations.
* Enthusiasm for helping a team set and achieve goals.
* Senior level experience with Nagios, Big Brother, and other monitoring applications.
* Expertise in Apache/Tomcat installation and support.
* Working experience with Mysql and/or Postgresql, especially related to operational support (replication, backup, etc).
* Strong working knowledge and experience with automated configuration management using cfEngine or Puppet.
* Working knowledge of networking issues, physical layer and Layer 3.
* Experience working in an environment that has utilized load balancing (geographic and local) for redundancy.
* Strong knowledge in Ruby, Perl, and Bash.
* Expert in Kickstart.
* Knowledge of PXE booting PC*s over the network.
* Extensive experience with various networking vendor routers and switches.
* Must possess a strong working history working in and managing a datacenter environment.
* Expert knowledge of Red Hat Linux.
* Diverse and seasoned experience in a high-volume or critical production service environment.
* Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
