Small Company, Manager of IT Our client is a privately held, 60 person company based in the King of Prussia area seeking a Manager of IT. The work environment is family oriented and relaxed; completely absent of a corporate feel. The prevailing philosophy of the CEO is that the more relaxed people are the more productive they will be. Description: Responsible for supporting two locations NY, NY and King of Prussia, PA (travel to NY approximately 6x per year) as well as everything from Hardware and Software purchases to setting the IT strategy for the organization. IT Department is a total of 3 people (manager and two team members, both onsite in PA) Team Member 1: Responsible for Technical Support Team Member 2: Programmer of a legacy system that is still used by a few departments Number of employees King of Prussia, PA: 40, NY, NY: 20 Microsoft Navision has been running and stable for 9-10 months As a department head you are a considered one of the management team of about 6-7 department heads reporting directly to the CEO First Project: Work with head of Marketing to make recommendations and create a proposal to update the company website (Will use an outside 3rd party for design) Second Project Identify reports that should be available and developed for the business community Job Requirements Desired Skills: Management Experience inside or outside of IT is required Considering candidates with commercial experience in either Technical Support or Technical Development but a candidate who has more development experience is preferred. Overall the person needs to be able to be organized and run Technology driven projects, run the Technology department and effectively work with managers and the CEO to leverage technology in the business overall. Must be able to work with all different department heads to help them leverage technology to make the company more efficient. Any experience with Microsoft Navision is a plus Any experience or appreciation for the arts or entertainment industry is a plus. Prefer someone to have a four year degree but will consider people that went to a vocational school. Number of years experience is not a primary concern. Compensation: 50-55K, may flex up to 60K depending on experience The client is firm in that they are not paying more than 60K, please do not apply if you are seeking more than 60K.
