Premier quantitative trading firm is seeking a talented operations/support engineer to provide day-to-day support for high frequency trading. This is an opportunity to work with world class technologists and traders in a collaborative and rewarding environment.

The successful candidate will have strong scripting skills (Perl, Shell, Python), prior experience supporting an electronic trading desk, and the desire to work at an elite financial institution.

This hands-on role will involve the following responsibilities:

* Work closely with developers and traders to architect system improvements
* Identify and diagnose production issues
* Collect metrics to evaluate risk
* Provide critical feedback to the development team, working toward continually improving system operation
* Responsible for the system*s interface with multiple public markets

Requirements:
* Technical degree (BS, MS or PhD) from a top tier university, with a minimum GPA of 3.2
* Previous experience supporting an electronic trading environment
* Strong scripting experience (Python, Perl, Shell, Bash)
* Good knowledge of Linux
* Understanding of the entire software development life cycle.
* Experience writing code (Java or C) a big plus
* Good knowledge/experience with FIX protocol
* Experience with Networking and SQL are a plus
