We are looking for multiple Network Engineers with our large client in Bay Area.
Network Engineer:
- Perform network planning, designing, implementation, and troubleshooting
- Maintain the health and availability of the production, corporate, wireless, Video on Demand, and Voice over IP networks
- Work with vendors on evaluating new products and provide recommendations
- Manage network-related projects, activities and tasks
- Document network topologies, IP allocation, and network designs
Personal Attributes:
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
- Highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in networking
- Experience with Cisco and or Juniper routers and switches, F5 load balancers and Juniper NetScreen firewalls
- Experience with advanced IP routing protocols - OSPF and BGP
- Experience with LAN switching protocols
- Experience with Quality of Service and Voice over IP
- Experience with Datacenter design
- Experience with wireless technologies and security protocols
- Experience in building scalable, fault tolerant infrastructure in a multi-vendor environment.
- Experience with network management and troubleshooting tools
- Experience with Unix
- Strong organizational, documentation, and presentation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
- Cisco CCNP; Cisco CCIE or Juniper JNCIE is a plus
Compensation and Benefits
Salary is commensurate with experience. The benefits package includes paid time off, paid public holidays, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401k.
