Job Description

  • IT Technical Support Specialist / Helpdesk Analyst
  • Chicago, IL

Our long time client, a well established, mid size financial firm located downtown Chicago in a great commute location from both city and suburban locations is looking to add a dynamic starter to their existing IT support team. This is a good opportunity for someone just starting out within their IT career or within their first year who is looking to work within a very collaborative team environment.  You don't have to know everything, just have a good base of technical skills and the desire and aptitude to learn from and work well with others.  Good communication skills and positive support disposition toward users is a must.

Here is what you need to have a good knowledge of:
- Supporting Windows XP and Windows 7 within a networked environment
- Basic fundamental troubleshooting skills and abilities
- MS Office support skills (mostly MS Word)
- Ability to determine network problems vs. application problems when troubleshooting (basic network environment understanding)
- Ability to build out and setup computers (desktop and laptop).
- Any Apple product support (iPad, iPhone) is a plus but not required.
