Job Description:

• Govern contract staff to ensure outcomes adequately meet the needs of our client including skill set and staff ratio mix, training curriculum and execution to maintain currency/relevancy, day-to-day assignments, response and resolution of system issues/outages, and monitoring of system and prevention of outages.

• Responsible for developing and maintaining the technical details for SOPs (refresh, migrations, configuration, installs, etc.) and ensure are followed to maintain a viable system

• Develop technical roadmap of activities required to maintain a stable platform including application of patches, Service Packs, Enhancement Packs, system upgrades, and ensure consistency of technical components and configurations across environments. Execute tasks to plan.

• Provide technical expertise and direction to drive effective operations related to support and project initiatives.

• Balance responsibilities of technical leadership and hands-on administration to maintain/support a global SAP environment including troubleshooting problems, escalating open issues, implementing solutions, and optimize the system for maximum performance

• Serve as liaison to vendor support/technical staff to escalate, analyze, and resolve issues.

• Develop resource plan for Basis staff across both projects and support.

• Provide insight and demonstrated knowledge to influence various strategies including;

o   SAP Environment Planning including creation, refreshes, back-up, and recovery

o   SAP Roadmap outlining the timing for upgrades, service/enhancement packs, and implementation of new modules

o   Transport Management Strategy

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

14+ years of IT experience with B.A or B.S.;

10+ years of IT experience with M.A. or M.S.

8-10 years working as SAP Basis Administrator with demonstrated experience related to support, maintenance, and implementation projects. 

Minimum 2+ years of experience as Basis Team Lead

Job Description:

The Senior Principal IT Technologist role will consist of a combination of responsibilities including identification of risks/opportunities with current technical landscape, ability to generate and implement overarching platform strategies, direct initiatives to mitigate risk across the Enterprise, and assist with establishing and maintaining a governance model for SAP architecture.

The successful candidate will assume responsibility for achieving expected outcomes related to overall SAP architecture and optimizing our client's investment from the technical landscape.  In addition, they will serve as a representative from the SAP technical team to review new initiatives and provide architecture guidance and decisions regarding the viability of software components, design and operationalize the SAP landscape to optimize platform stability and enhance efficiencies supporting operations, and participate within the Architecture Control Board and Architecture Technology Governance Council to establish and maintain standards. 

Position Responsibilities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree OR 8 years of work experience in lieu of a 4 year degree or a combination of work and education to equal a 4 year degree
• 10+ years of IT experience with B.A or B.S.; 8+ years of IT experience with M.A. or M.S.
• 4-6 years working as SAP Basis Architect with demonstrated experience related to technical toolset assessments to maximize efficiencies and investments, strategy and operationalization of scaling, and blending new toolsets to maintain a viable SAP platform across the Enterprise.

Desired Qualifications:

• Certified as an SAP Basis Consultant
• Experience as a team lead
• Working understanding of complex software and information technology solutions and ability to apply to client needs.
• Demonstrated ability within administrative toolsets including Solution Manager, along with SAP application modules ECC6 MDM, APO, CRM, and Portal
• ABAP and JAVA administration tools
