Job Summary
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans, developing and performing test cases to verify functionality, data integrity, security, and overall usability.  The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will work closely with Software Developers (and possibly other QA engineers) in small scrum teams to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Creating, maintaining, and executing test plans
• Estimating test efforts for assigned projects
• Defect tracking, and participating in the day-to-day QA activities
• Review requirements with developers and other QA engineers for consistency and accuracy
• Work with other departmental staff to achieve QA and project team objectives
• Work with project teams to complete QA tasks as needed by the project
• Take on special projects as needed

Competencies/Qualifications

• Experience testing web-based client-server systems, web services and desktop-based systems in Microsoft Windows environments
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, often with changing requirements as scrum team needs may dictate
• Must be detail oriented, reliable and have the ability to work both in a team environment and alone with minimal direction and supervision
• Knowledge of Agile scrum development lifecycles and how they pertain to Quality Assurance needs
• Experience with all phases of software testing (Functional, Integration, Regression, User Acceptance, and Release Management)
• Experience with Requirements Reviews with developers (and possibly other QA engineers), and other stakeholders such as project managers and/or product owners
• Experience with finding the root cause of defects in a complex Enterprise N-Tiered environment
• In-depth knowledge of test planning, test case creation and test case execution
• Solid experience with automation technologies, preferably C# and .NET
• Solid experience with MS SQL databases and MS SQL scripting
• Strong and demonstrated desire for a career path in QA engineering
• Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with a clear understanding of the soft skills required of a Senior QA Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field strongly preferred
• 7+ years experience in Software Quality Assurance in a Microsoft Windows environment
• 7+ years experience in an Agile Scrum environment
