Q Analysts is looking for a Java Developer for a long-term contract opportunity for its enterprise client in Atlanta, GA.  The person will do a mixture of Java Maintenance as well as brand new development, working in tandem with other developers and system engineers

The organization is responsible for layers 1-4 provisioning. They handle the consumer side as well as the business side for this enterprise organization.  The consumer side (business logic) is written solely in Java. They take all information and it is then re-factored into Cramer.  This group is one of the few and teams within this enterprise organization that actually does software development.

The team receives service orders from upstream in the system and manages the scheduling components; the Service Order and Orchestration piece. The task engine that does orchestration rolls up into the application. There is plenty of orchestration and APIs.

Team Directives:

• ·      Technology insertion and advanced technical support for our client’s Operations and Service Development in L2/L3 network provisioning
• ·       Supporting integrated and inventory design groups in troubleshooting and completing root cause analysis of production issues
• ·       Developing "best practice" configuration & deployment guidelines, troubleshooting guidelines and training material
• ·       Monitor progress, timelines, milestones and adjust plans as necessary within internal team to see tasks through to completion
• ·       Must quickly adapt to new information and rapidly shift priorities
• ·       Innovate quickly to create results when new information surfaces
• ·       The right candidate will see patterns and make connections between seemingly disconnected things when faced with diverse sources of information
• ·       Communicate status to internal management as required

Required Skills/Degrees/Accreditations:

• ·       Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related major
• ·       1-5 years of comprehensive working experience and intermediate to expert-level knowledge in Java technologies, including:
  • o   Spring
  • o   Hibernate
  • o   J2EE (Weblogic Environment)
  • o   Maven
  • o   Hudson
  • o   SQL
  • o   Weblogic
  • o   Unix
• ·       Experience in troubleshooting network performance issues
• ·       Strong written & verbal communication & interpersonal skills
• ·       High job performance in recent assignments

Desired Degrees and Experience:

• ·       Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related major
• ·       Familiarity with telecom IP/MPLS network environment, including its design & engineering and service offerings
• ·       Demonstrated capability of implementing new technologies in a live network environment
