The Business Analyst is responsible for the implementation of business solutions across client companies and ERP instances using ERP business suite software. Implementation includes business requirements gathering, design and development, testing, and rollout of solutions within ERP and the associated integration points to external business applications. The analyst is also responsible for day to day support of the operational system.
Overall responsibilities include ERP application support, maintenance, and project implementation.
Must possess an in-depth understanding of the business function/process supported, and also be viewed as a credible representative of that business function/process.
Has thorough understanding of the business processes to perform as-is analysis, gather business requirements, identify business process gaps, and develops “to-be” business process solution.
Responsible for solution prototyping, system functional specifications and data mapping,
setting of configuration objects and setting of transaction/control tables. of solutions for the business functions.
Is responsible for integration and interface design and mapping to 3rd party systems.
Performs application testing of business solutions against business requirements and business process procedures. Performs regression testing of existing solutions to ensure changes do not affect existing business operations.
Responsible for development and testing of regulated business processes in a validated ERP environment. Requires compliance with quality testing standards in procedures required to support regulated businesses.
Responsible for compliance with JSOX regulations.
Communicates and coordinates with other functional areas and project managers to ensure appropriate integration of processes and modules across the enterprise.
Provides solutions estimates and other planning input for projects and support activities.
Provides proactive support for business customers to a high degree of technical competency in accordance with the business requirements and standard working practices.
Identify opportunities for business process improvements that will provide value to the company.
Prioritize, plan and manage work within a shared services environment.
Stay current with ERP technology and functionality as well as technologies for interfacing to other systems.
Where relevant, adheres to the Company’s quality and regulatory compliance requirements, without exception, and ensures that all job duties inherent in the position are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Expert knowledge and experience of the customizing area of SAP (IMG) for the WM module of SAP.
Expert knowledge with understanding, improving and implementing business processes as they relate to Logistics Execution.
Expert knowledge of Radio Frequency device integration with SAP to include custom transactions, connection to SAP and customized menu’s.
A high-degree of knowledge of transportation processes in SAP as they relate to truck-load, less-than truckload and small parcel shipping (preferably FedEx)
A high-degree of knowledge of printing transportation documents for product shipment from SAP.
Preferred knowledge with integration of SAP and FedEx Ship Manager Server software.
Preferred knowledge of SAP XSI set-up, configuration and maintenance.
Experience creating jobs and variants
Multiple experiences with configuration and modification of IDOCs for data exchange with EDI systems.
Good knowledge of SAP data structures and processes such as call transactions, and function modules.
Experience using SAP tools to research and apply SAP notes and patches
Basic understanding of ABAP programming language.
Works independently to resolve issues and create to solutions to business problems.
