  • Strong experience with VOIP technologies including SIP, TLS, RTP, SRTP, QoS, COS, codecs, transcoding, etc
  • Strong understanding of layer 2 and 3 enterprise LAN technologies
  • Strong understanding of layer 1 on and 2 local loop access (Ethernet, DOCSIS, Fiber, TDM)
  • Strong understanding of the use of QoS across Layer 2, 3, and MPLS based networks
  • Strong hands-on experience with CPE routers, Power over Ethernet LAN switches, and enterprise firewalls. Experience with CISCO, ADTRAN, and Edgewater products is a must
  • Strong experience with deployment of soft phones and analog terminal adapters at customer premises
  • CISCO certifications are highly desired
  • Strong experience with softphone such as Polycom, Cisco, and YeaLink
  • Strong experience with SIP provisioning servers
  • Experience providing/supporting voice services in a Software-as-a-Service solution.
  • Background in providing/supporting over the top voice services for a facilities and/or non-facilities based voice service providers
  • Background in telecommunications services such as DOCSIS, Fiber Ethernet, DS0, DS1, DS3 is required
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with TR-69/TR-104 implementation and standards
  • Working knowledge of MPLS technology and services is desirable
  • Working knowledge and experience with VOIP Telephone services and PBX-based features is required.
  • Must be organized and able to work in a quickly-changing internal and external environment.
  • Must be reliable, self-motivated and disciplined.
  • Strong experience with UNIX, BSD, and SunOS based operating systems
  • Strong familiarity with PCs including but not limited to Excel, MS Word, general database and word processing software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required in order to interact both orally and written with customers and management
  • Must be able to multitask, work tight deadlines and focus on the project until completion.
