  • Logistics Planner 2


Northrop Grumman Technical Services is seeking a Logistics Planner 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals who provide Logistics Planning Support, Aircraft Systems Integration, and Maintenance Support for assigned systems through analysis of Engineering Data Packages and Customer Directives. Selected applicant will analyze technical data and reports to determine spares and support equipment provisioning requirements. Reviews site survey results and letters of offer and acceptance and formulates specific recommendations for spare/repair parts and support equipment. Manages and controls the asset position of customer inventories. May originate support plans for offer to potential customers and provide technical assistance to existing customer personnel. May forecast and manage budget system. Applicant will exhibit the use and/or application of principles, theories, and concepts. Have knowledge of industry practices and standards. Demonstrate the skill and ability to perform professional tasks. Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works under only very general supervision. Work will be reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy. Contributes to the completion of organizational projects and goals. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would normally be detected in supervisory oversight. Frequent internal company contacts. Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, and other personnel in the section or group. Represents section or group on specific projects. Candidate must be familiar with aircraft systems such as avionics/mechanical equipment as well as other common systems. Interpret Engineering Data and translate it into Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) maintenance, flight procedures and training programs. Manage performance metrics and additional supportability, quantitative reporting, and assessment measurements. Manage data entry for Fleet Management Tool. Assist in performing maintenance validation/verification of developed procedures. Perform continuous improvement of standard practices, processes and software utilization, data interchange systems, electronic data systems administration and related functions. Could also include responsibilities with the development and sustainment of graphics. Specific requirements may include software proficiency in Adobe CS5 and basic concept of graphic design and layout.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum experience, 3 years with Bachelor's Degree. Solid understanding of IETM development. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills are required. Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
