The Robinson Group has been retained to conduct a search for a Director/Senior Software Development Manager (Cloud).

This newly created role will be responsible for the development and delivery of products serving our client's fast growing SaaS business.

This is an opportunity to put to use the latest cloud and Java based technologies using modern Agile techniques to help their customers deliver safer products to the market.

The position reports directly to the VP of Research & Development and will have a significant impact on a growing business and influence the industry with market leading products. 

Required Skills:

Experience leading/managing software development teams building enterprise Java based products

Cloud/SaaS experience

Experience with Agile methodologies, continuous integration, automated testing, Java design patterns

Seeks out new and stays updated on new technologies and software engineering methods

Should come from a software development background with Java technologies.  

Able to participate in technical discussions, software design sessions, requirements analysis sessions  and drive quickly to decisions.

Agile practitioner.

Deep appreciation for the software process and efficiency: Automated Testing, automated builds, short sprints, pair programming, continuous integration, sprint planning, etc.

People management skills - or leadership skills (will eventually be managing a software development team of 10-12 people)                                           

Amazon Web Services exp a plus.

Highly regulated industry a plus.
