The Director will server as the Business Partner (BP) for Manufacturing, Engineering, and Process Development will be the liaison between IT and all Manufacturing, Engineering, and Process Development organizations.
 
The BP will be the subject matter pertaining to both IT and their client area of responsibility.
 
Responsible  for understanding the business overall goals and objectives, assisting in the prioritization of business technology projects, ensuring that projects align with the technology that best provides maximum return on investment, and linking IT strategy in support of the overall business strategy.
 
Will be responsible for gathering, interpreting, prioritizing and fulfilling the business technology requirements of their client through their connection and collaboration with the solutions and delivery mechanisms.
 
Serve as the chief strategic liaison between the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Process Development areas and IT.
 
This will be a key client relationship role; acting as an advocate for the client.
 
This role works with their clients at several organizational levels. Will work with business area leadership and governance teams to understand project requirements, shape project requests, and provide a high-level estimate of the project effort and costs in cost-benefit analysis.
 
Work closely with business technology architects to identify potential solutions that match the business strategy with the technology strategy.
 
Will coordinate the information needed for the IT organization's annual planning process, including budgeting, representing the demand for technology services from the client areas. This position will partner with their client throughout the full life cycle development - from conception of ideas through planning, business case preparation, vendor selection, development, deployment and operations / stabilization.
 
Responsible for a team of highly skilled Business Analysts.
 
 
As a member of the Technical Operations IT leadership team, the role is responsible for collaborating with their counterparts. This role is accountable for managing their area's solutions / delivery teams as they interact with IT and the functions they support. . Professionally represent IT's capabilities and skills; communicator of the IT service catalog.  Wide and deep relationships with internal technology teams, external vendors and, most importantly, client leadership.
 
Partner to key stakeholders in Manufacturing, Engineering, and Process Development . Interaction and collaboration with other IT peers and service partners across the broader IT organization. . Overall solution delivery to the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Process Development clients.
 
Project / program / portfolio management and issue resolution. . The development of long-range business technology strategies for global supply chain and Tech Ops. . Participates in technology aspects of business-sponsored projects and project requests. . Consultative support to business strategy planning. . New business initiative analysis. . Manages third party relationships through implementation and ensure an effective transition to appropriate operations staff.
 
 
Proactive relationship management with key technology vendors and providers. Will track business technology trends . Manager of demand management process from the manufacturing and engineering clients. . Budget transparency and negotiations with clients.
 
 
 
Education and Experience Requirements:
.Bachelor's Degree in the field of information technology, engineering, computer science and / or business administration (required)
..More than 15 years experience managing and / or directing technology projects, including technology operations and the management and delivery of technology solutions (required)
.More than 5 years working in the Pharmaceuticals or Life Sciences industry (preferred)
.More than 5 years experience working in an IT role supporting global supply chain and Tech Ops (required)
.More than 3 years experience with SAP with specific experience in global supply chain and Tech Ops (required)
 
 
 
Key Abilities:
 
Knowledge of technology trends, technology architectures and business trends. He or she should have the ability to define business processes and models and align those processes and models with cost-effective operational and strategic technologies on behalf of the corporate clients.
 
Ability to operate at the strategic level; the ability to lead technical teams; the ability to communicate, negotiate and synthesize; high level of interpersonal skills; proven ability to deliver; a continuous improvement ethic; and the ability to accept and manage change. The ability to inspire and build trust is critical.
 
Consultative approach perform as an effective internal consultant from both technology and client vantage points. These skills include the ability to frame complex problems and "sell" simple and complex solutions to his/her internal clients.
