This role will be working on a variety of R&D projects and will be an important and integral part of the development and maintenance of the functions and enterprise IT roadmaps and portfolios.

 
The primary goal of this position is to successfully maintain the portfolio view of projects, although it is not a project delivery role it does provide portfolio progress oversight.
 
Primary responsibilities will include:
 
1.Managing monthly, quarterly and annual portfolio prioritization process for the aligned functional area. Manages / leads financial investment modelling for functional portfolio (priority, affordability). Manages functional area project inventory as component of enterprise IT inventory
 
2 Liaise and collaborate closely with other Portfolio managers to develop integrated enterprise IT Portfolio, Roadmap and attendant costs and risks
 
3.Provide effective decision support : analyzes and provides counsel to the functional IT area and Head of PMO on portfolio / program / project interdependencies, resource constraints, portfolio level risks which may impact / influence scheduling of projects within the portfolio and within the enterprise IT functional portfolio
 
4.Lead KPI development for each Business Case and post project works with the Sponsor and Project Office (Benefits Tracking) to ensure Benefits Realization
 
5. Facilitate / lead the development of Business Cases aligned to the functional area Roadmap: liaises with Business and IT Sponsors to lead the creation, review and ultimately presentation of Business Cases to the functional and IT governance forums, ensuring that the appropriate contributors and reviewers are engaged.
 
6.Advanced financial Management including budget preparation and monitoring
 
 
Education and Experience Requirements:
 
.Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
.Requires demonstrable experience of managing large, complex IT portfolios .Requires demonstrable experience of managing IT projects
.PMP or Prince2 qualified preferred
.Knowledge / qualification in IT standards such as ITIL
.Knowledge of Pharmaceutical industry preferred
.Demonstrable knowledge, experience and capabilities in: financial planning and evaluation, business plan development, investment modeling, portfolio planning, and Request, Project and Program methodologies and lifecycles, e.g. SDLC
.Demonstrable experience of working with multiple On-shore and off-shore Managed Service Providers and working in and with a matrixed IT and Business Organization
