You are delusional. There is no way that a techie in India earns USD $1000 a month and no way that your government(s) stopped anything. If you love India so much, just go home and help the impoverished masses.

Read the above link, it is a realistic picture of India. I have been to your filthy country and it is not as portrayed by the people I met over here. It is a depressing place, except for maybe Marine Drive.

The average MIDDLE CLASS income in India is 10,000 - 20,000 RP which is around $213 USD per month. So get off your high horse and head straight to the airport. Help your people out instead of parasiting off the US.
IF you are such a genius, why are you here and not there, they need some brains there, as the government is one of THE MOST CORRUPT in the world, which is why you came here. Also to avoid all of your aunties watching every move you make.

You underestimate the American people greatly. I cannot wait until ICE goes after every last Indian in this country. I am proudly helping them out with tips. ALL western countries are in the same boat..its like dealing with terrorists, you cannot negotiate with them so you must fight them. I for one will fight to the end.

So true WB. Other countries such as India and China would not give us a job but yet we employ their citzens. I hope someone wakes up and sees this. I am trying to get the word around. We will speak with our votes. I did think of iemigrating but after visiting tAisa, I will never go back. It is worse than the most horrible slum in Mexico. India's hatred for us is deep. They complain about not being wanted here but we are NOT welcome there. What happened to parity? They are racist, not us. We are protecting our jobs. The bottom line is that comparing India to the US is comparing apples to oranges. It's laughable when they argue how great their country is while standing on US soil. If I ask them why they don't go home, i get silence. I don't expect India or China to ever become superpowers because 1. They have no infrastructure and 2. They are inherently corrupt 3. Many human rights violations (bride burning, female genocide). I welcome anyone to google the above terms with India and see the matches.

eeek, Geek... the U.S. is inherently corrupt as well. Our superpower status has dwindled as our dollar value also shrinks.
I really don't see our votes counting at all. If they did, sponsorships would be capped. Instead, with globalization and open borders, we're invaded and those idiots who say they represent us don't lift a finger.
We don't allow bride burning but we're still allowing massive discrimination on many levels. You've felt it as a woman in IT. I've felt it as a Jew (rare but true), as a woman with an unequal salary to male counterparts, and as a gay woman. There are so many gay bashings and rapes ... We're not all equal in our law. As India and China start to peek their heads out of 3rd world status, we're moving into 3rd world status.
We're also not protecting our jobs. They've gone out the window to the Indian firms. I've heard of many people from overseas here to get health insurance benefits. They certainly used to funnel money home. What they're inadvertently doing is lowering our wages so much that it won't be worth coming here because there will be nothing left to pillage.

If you have "real" experience on a marketable skillset (ie SAP) and are willing to accept their rates, you can be employed practically anywhere in the world. Just plan on settling down over there, as your rate would be peanuts in USD. It's not a bad idea as a backup plan, especially when American IT workers can't keep up with the rising cost of living.

Then I will agree to disagree. While I don't believe the USA is perfect by any means, its better than the third world. I have been there. All of what you said is true, but I still wouldn't move to a place like India where women are nothing but property. The urban "professional" women there may be better off, but they still participate in arranged marriages that heavily favor the male. Gay men and women are killed as well. They dare not come out. Only the "elite" - top 1% can afford to learn English and come here, so imagine what the rest of the country is like. Trust me, its not pretty. I know there is rampant discrimination, ageism and bullying here as I have been the victim of all at the hands of American managers. I was bullied, not killed and while I lost my job, the bully could not do anything more to me. In a third world country, they come after your family as well. Again, I know about the H1b gravy train and the demise of IT but jobs can be replaced, people cannot. Having children also gives me a different viewpoint because while my career is over, they still have a chance to do something valuable with their lives and not get knocked down mid career by the H1b crew. One last point is that I cannot leave as easily as others so I need to "hold my position", in a way it forces me to do something be it go back to school or whatever.
