Hmm, US should have a visa of Indian Wild Bears to fight for them in Afghanistan, given the progress there.

Leave it to an Indian to complain about the progress of AMERICANS in fighting jihadis in THEIR OWN neighborhood.
That it is the job of Americans to have to go all the way across the planet to do a dirty job that India is too lazy, cheap, scared or incompetent to do herself.
Of course you Indians are grinning at the stupidity of Americans doing your dirty work for you in fighting jihadis- just like you laugh at the stupidity of Americans giving you jobs that you cannot create for yourselves in India.
I say, US out of Afghanistan. Let the jihadis roll over India and do what they please.

Er, Hamburg? I am on the fence. I can't see we can win in Afghanistan without a lot more troops for a long time and I can't see Obama would ever commit himself to that. He doesn't want Afghanistan to be his Iraq (or Vietnam for that matter)

And now that he has been given the peace prize!! But I agree with your assessment. In fact, I'd say, even with a lot more troops, Afghanistan war is unwinnable. Basically, depends on how you define win. If it's "Mission Accomplished", then it's already been won. But if it's bringing some kind of normalcy to the region with sustainable economy (so that poppy is not the national crop) and a stable govt. with enough support to defend itself... I don't think that's going to happen there. Period.
But then, man-o-war has different views.

Oh that's funny. Thanks for reminding me that Bin Laden spent a little time in Afghanistan. Bin Laden has plenty of vacation spots, right?
As if we are too stupid to know that Bin Laden's safest and most current haven is and has been, in fact, in Pakistan- which up until 1948 was part of - pop quiz - which country? Your turn now.
Whenever we look at the jihad mess we are in, all roads lead to three places - Iran, Saudi Arabia and India/Pakistan.
You are such a dufus. And you can't even wait two posts before contradicting yourself and saying "Yes, the US should quit Afghan" to Joan.

In all honesty, west should give a green signal to Indians to take on Pakis. No one knows Pakis better than Indians. For all the IT problems we have with India, the change should come from within. We can not expect them to stop offering tech services or stealing the jobs from us. Who would turn away the dollars, if our fat cats offer them?

You know the 'point'. And Mr Nafta Gates you havea point too. We can nuke the planet if we have to, and maybe a more standoff aproach is the way to go. Point taken, port security, airport security - Fortress America. The Globalists are ruining us

Hmmm. Good point.
If Afghanistan was a "vacation spot" for Bin Laden, and he spent "little time" there in Afghanistan, care to explain why Mr W went gun toting to that sad place? Are you saying that US intelligence and Govt. was stupid to not know that Afghanistan was Bin Laden's "vacation spot"?

I said "a little time", not "little time" - is your English so poor that you don't know the distinction?
Do I still need to answer this not-so-bright question about why Bush sent the troops to Afghanistan? Right, it was because Bin Laden spent a little time there. It was in the newspapers.
If you are just having problems with English, my apologies- I do not wish to be unkind. But otherwise this is a real dumb question.
Do you have some kind of a point here, at all?
