Can I ask you what experience, if any, you had with Kyrainfotech? I saw it on your blacklist.They have been in contact with me for over 2 weeks now, going back and forth with the resume and status updates on silly stuff, calling me about highlighting my qualifications on the resume in red and sending me paperwork etc. - Know I haven't heard from them in a few days, and guess what, ever since I gave them my ssn on a form for a background check. Now I feel they scammed me. zwith a wife and daughter and unemployed for 11 months and unemployment stopped I was desperate and trusted him and gave him my ssn - hope it wasnt a mistake.

I have not had any direct expierience with them as I got the company name from this thread. I would suggest you never give out personal information until a face-to-face interview has been done. I had a company today try and get my SS# and such and I stopped them flat.

"Is dice doing something about it?"
This is a really good question.
One of the things DICE could do is start a rating system ala ebay or amazon.
Let us rate the recruiting firms and post comments so that we can explain why we rated them like we did

Actually you should ALWAYS apply to some of these jobs, even with ridiculous rates.
JUST NOTE REASONABLE JOB REQUIREMENTS (IF THE REQ IS INSANE) AND LIST WHAT YOU BELIEVE IS A REASONABLE RATE.
DO THIS NO MATTER WHAT THEY NOTE!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here is why,
MANY of the FRAUD firms are placing ads for impossible skill combinations, or ridiculous rates, then when NO AMERICAN responds at all they are documenting and reporting that no American is interested in the job. Then they have an auditable paper trail and do the documentation to try to bring in MORE H1Bs.
Just be careful about widely distributing your resume if you think the firm is a FRAUD! They will use your resume with an H1Bs name on it to shop around the market. The FRAUD and the CRIMINAL ACTIVITY is widespread...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Get the word out on H1B FRAUD! Maybe, just maybe enough exposure and enough documentation can be developed by someone to file a RICO suit for a racketeering and corrupt organization. After all, silly as it sounds, when there is a deliberate effort with multiple people to commit widespread fraud then it is organized crime. It just doesn't look like the organized crime we see on TV.

A rather strange thing happened recently--, as soon as I made the following post on my site, and e-mailed it to a few interested parties, the hits on my site ratcheted up and the message went "viral." The following article explains how companies and vendors can be legally liable and open to lawsuits, both civil for money damages and potentially criminal liability for the frauds if they don't do thorough or careful enough checks on "consultants."
